About Sean Murphy

Sean Murphy was a dedicated member of the soccer community who tragically lost his life, in a motor vehicle accident, on June 1st, 2001. He was 20 years old. He was a passionate and successful player;  a National Champion at the Canada Games and Collegiate levels. In the 1999-2000 season, Sean was named Langara College’s MVP. The following year he transferred to Simon Fraser University.

While Sean was a talented central midfield player, he would be better described as a tough and fearless leader, who worked hard, didn’t quit and refused to lose. He lived his life on and off the field with passion, commitment, enjoyment, and fair play. He was without question the consummate teammate and developed deep and enduring friendships with teammates throughout his life.

As his brother, I founded the company in Sean's memory. He is a driving force behind E11even Management Inc.  The “11” is a tribute the number which Sean wore throughout his playing career and if you look closely, there is a player between the “1’s” in the corporate logo. This serves as a daily reminder for those involved in the company to create opportunities for players to enjoy, explore, and create friendships, in addition to developing  and advancing through the beautiful game.

Sean is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family; parents Alan and Barb, and siblings Kiera, Ryan, and Chris. His family will form part of the selection committee.
