2015 SX Cup Now Launched!

After a very successful inaugural 2014 event, The SX Cup International Soccer Tournament returns for 2015 with additional venues, new premier club partners, and approximately 275 teams expected from across Canada and the USA. The 2015 SX Cup is positioned to be one of the premium soccer tournaments in Canada.

Soccer Express returns as title sponsor for the 2015 event, and the feedback to their participation and support in 2014 has helped the tournament lay a foundation to become the top Labour Day tournament in the Pacific Northwest. New for 2015, E11even Management is pleased to announce two premium Club Partners for the SX Cup: Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC and Surrey United SC. These clubs will support the additional venue activation as the 2015 SX Cup will add 2 more premium soccer venues in BC, with Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park being activated along with Surrey’s Cloverdale Athletic Park.

E11even Management already has an existing relationship with Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC, having managed their Labour Day and Thanksgiving Day tournaments in 2014. For 2015, Coquitlam Metro-Ford’s Labour Day Tournament has partnered with the SX Cup and will see the U13-U18 metro divisions play in Coquitlam, continuing the 29th year of this great event in Coquitlam. Surrey United is a new partner with E11even Management, and their home field complex at Cloverdale will host the U9-U10 Development and U13-U16 gold (div 1) divisions.

Newton Athletic Park will continue to be the SX Cup’s marquee home venue with 11 full sized fields making itself the premium tournament location in Western Canada. Newton will host the U11-U12 Development and U13-U16 Premier divisions.

In the 2014 event, teams from as far away as Montreal, Edmonton and Seattle played in the U13-U15 premier divisions, alongside U9-U12 developmental teams from across BC and Washington State. Tournament Director Chris Murphy commented, “we expected interest and good soccer, and what we got was overwhelming reaction to a premier soccer tournament that provided top level competition in every age group. With the amazing support from our title partner Soccer Express, along with other key partners including Sport Surrey, Signboom and Charter Bus Lines, the event was a true premier soccer showcase that filled a large void on the Labour Day long weekend in this market.”

Team registration is open now, with early bird rates in effect until May 31 in all divisions. More exciting additions to the 2015 SX Cup weekend will be announced in the coming months. We expect to sell out again, so don’t miss out on the premium tournament your team should attend in 2015!
